In this new substantially updated edition, authors incorporate information about COVID-19 and Long COVID in a new chapter. Add new sections in the Women’s Health chapter, incorporating additional information about prescription-only medicine (POM) to pharmacy (P) medicine changes for the contraceptive desogestrel, and review the assessment of the Menopause and Incontinence. Enhance the readability with more illustration, diagrams and pictures. Continue explicit emphasis on the evidence base for ‘OTC’ medicines and explain the book’s approach and evidence sources.
